Mevrometostat is een selectieve remmer van enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) en speelt een belangrijke rol in epigenetische regulatie en tumorgroei. Eerder onderzoek toonde een gunstig veiligheidsprofiel en werkzaamheid van EZH2 in combinatie met enzalutamide en androgeendeprivatietherapie (ADT) bij patiënten met gemetastaseerd castratieresistent prostaatcarcinoom (‘metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer’, mCRPC). Tijdens ASCO-GU 2025 presenteerde Michael Schweizer, MD (University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Washington, VS) de interim-analyse van deze dosis-escalatiestudie.1
