Navigatiebronchoscopie is een geavanceerde beeldgestuurde diagnostische procedure die via precieze navigatie door de luchtwegen het mogelijk maakt om weefselmateriaal te verkrijgen van pulmonale noduli, die vaak moeilijk of niet veilig bereikbaar zijn met conventionele bronchoscopie of een CT-geleide transthoracale benadering. Sinds 1 januari 2024 is navigatiebronchoscopie opgenomen in het basispakket van de zorgverzekering. Er is onder leiding van het Radboudumc een landelijk implementatieproject gestart om navigatiebronchoscopie landelijk beschikbaar te maken. In dit artikel beschrijven we de klinische toepassing van navigatiebronchoscopie, de techniek achter deze procedure alsook de huidige vordering en strategie van implementatie binnen de Nederlandse zorg.
