Op 6 december 2022 promoveerde Anne Dirkson aan de Universiteit van Leiden. Het proefschrift is getiteld: ‘Knowledge discovery from patient forums: gaining novel medical insights from patient experiences’. De (co)promotoren van dit proefschrift waren: prof. dr. W. Kraaij (Universiteit Leiden), dr. S. Verberne (Universiteit Leiden) en prof. dr. A.J. Gelderblom (afdeling Medische Oncologie, LUMC). Het onderzoek werd mogelijk gemaakt door een beurs van het SIDN-fonds.
